45th Anniversary Production
Experience the Magic of Delta Festival Ballet’s 45th production of The Nutcracker. Performances on December 19th at 6:00pm and 20th at 2:00pm at Mahalia Jackson Theater accompanied by the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra.
Since 1981, Delta’s exquisite production of The Nutcracker has delighted local audiences of all ages. This holiday treat is helmed by Artistic Director, Joseph Giacobbe and accompanied by the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra .With international guest stars and outstanding local professionals and a youth corps of young dancers from the Greater New Orleans Area, Delta Festival Ballet's The Nutcracker is THE show to see this holiday season.
2026 Nutcracker Auditions
Auditions for the 2026 production of The Nutcracker will be held September 12 & 13. Auditions are open to ALL dancers age 7 to professional.
Makeup Auditions will be held Saturday, September 19.
For Collegiate & Professional Dancers Age 18+
Please email deltafestballet@gmail.com with your resume and reel prior to September 12 or plan to attend the September 12 audition in person. There is no audition or production fee for collegiate and professional dancers.

2:30pm-4:00pm: Dancers Ages 14- Professional
*Saturday auditionees are encouraged to attend Saturday ballet class at Giacobbe Academy of Dance to warm up for the audition.
*Ladies: Please bring pointe shoes.
Sunday, September 13, 2025
1:00pm-2:30pm: Girls ages 7-10
2:30pm-3:00pm: Boys ages 7+
3:00pm-4:30pm: Girls ages 11-13
